Facts:
Jeff Bagwell hit safely
in 87 of his 112 games during his college career at the University of
Hartford.
In 1998 and 1999, Derek Bell
- then an Astro - finances new baseball fields for Houston's YMCA.
Because of two abdominal
surgeries early in 2001, Adrian Beltre couldn't eat solid food for
two months. He lost 24 pounds.
